Where is A1E located?
The official A1E web site is located at http://www.a1e.ca - the site you're on right now. The official A1E forums are located at the A1E Forums. You'll need to be a registered member on the forums to participate in A1E, although you're free to read what's going on without signing up.

One of the next projects for this web site is to integrate the forums so you will be able to come to the A1E.ca site and do ALL your A1E functions, without having to visit two seperate web sites.
Ok, so I've registered an account on the A1E Forums. Now what do I do?
First, the administrator will activate your account - and you'll be notified when that happens.
A1E takes place in two forums - the Announcements Forum, where results are posted, and voting and deadline threads are posted. The profile thread is also there. But more on those later. The Talkin' Smack Forum is where all the action takes place - the match threads are posted and promos (or Roleplays (RP's)) go in here.
The first thing you'll need to do is create a profile for your character. You can look in the latest A1E profile thread in the Announcement forum - the current version is A1E's Profile Thread pt. X - or you can check the Roster section here on the a1e.ca website for examples of profiles.
Ok. I have an account on the forums, and I've posted my profile. What next?
Now you need to let the Booking Commitee (more on that in a moment) know you're available for a match. Usually on the weekend after a promo period, a thread will go up in the Announcements forum called the A1E In/Out thread. If you want to sign up for a match, post a response in that thread, and say you are IN.
Ok. I have my A1E account. I've posted my profile. I've signed up for a match. How does it all work?
A1E is run by the Booking Committee. The head of the Booking Committee is Beast. The current members of the BC are Andrew Gilkison, Spoiler, and Troy Douglas. This group of people books the cards, writes up the matches, and in general administers how A1E functions and guides the general direction of the federation. Once cards are posted, people promo (RP) for their matches, and once the period ends, the people vote for the winners of each match. The matches are then written up by the BC, and posted as a show - either A1E's bi-weekly show "Warfare", or as a PPV show. Cards occur every two weeks.
Promo periods run from Friday to Friday. A voting thread will go up on Thursday or Friday, reminding people to vote. The voting period runs from Friday at midnight to Monday at noon. The BC discusses the matches, the votes are tallied, and winners are decided. The BC then writes up the matches and posts the show on Friday. Then the next card goes up and we start all over again.
