These are the people responsible for what you see going on in an A1E ring, including the Officials and Security staff. These people are the law of A1E.
A1E Officials:
David Gross: A1E's senior official. African-American, in great shape, 45 years old. Always calls the action down the middle, and is very hard to pull one over on. Only loses control in the harshest of environments.
Ryan Davidson: 32, Caucasian. Slim, but not skinny. Second in the officials' hierarchy, Davidson tries his best to emulate head official Gross, but occasionally misses a foot on the rope or like situation. Tends to go hard on the heels, and favors the faces.
Danny DiGarma: 24, Hispanic. Short and skinny. The most junior of officials, DiGarma uses his "status" to prop himself up to be more than he is, however, he has a lot to learn in calling a match. Makes mistakes often, and can be duped easily.
Jack Lindsay: 30, Caucasian. Slightly overweight. Irish, with a temper that rivals that of A1E Manager Erin Flanagan, and loves a good fight, which means he gives the wrestlers a little more leeway than most other refs (although he never lets anything get TOO out of hand). A good referee for the most part, but his temper and fighting spirit can get him into trouble occasionally. Loves being assigned a gimmick match that has few rules to enforce, and allows him to see lots of violence and mayhem up close.
Don Maroni: 27, Italian. Slim, but not skinny. Comes from New Jersey. Very physically and mentally tough and recovers relatively quickly when he gets bumped during a match, and stubbornly continues to ref through an injury he receives while doing his job, like when he was refereeing during a Big Dog vs. Dan Ryan Best of A1E tournament match on June 30th 2006, clipped in the knee accidentally, and refused to sit out until other referees came out and carried him to the back. That match also shows that he can get TOO close to the action sometimes, and can make him a liability in a match. He also occasionally misses a foot on the ropes or like situation, but other than that, he is very competent, and always calls it down the middle.
Justin Talbot: 25, Caucasian. Not the most junior of refs, but easily the shortest and skinniest, like a 1996 Rey Mysterio Jr. Very quick, can keep up with the action with the best of them, rarely misses anything, and rarely gets bumped. But when he does get bumped, he is slow to recover. It’s also hard for him to get respect from the wrestlers because of his size. But other than that, he is quickly developing a reputation as one of the best in the business, like what WWE referee Charles Robertson has, or what NWA referee Tommy Young and WCW/USWA legendary referee Mark Curtis had before his untimely death.
A1E Security:
Barry O'Malley: The head of A1E Security. Middle-aged but tough as nails, O'Malley is gruff and doesn't take sh*t from ANYBODY. Usually leads the charge out to the ring when there's problems the official can't handle. O'Malley maintains a full complement of security staff to aid him.
